What is Thai Massage Therapy?
This is an ancient healing practice that originated in India. It dates back to around 2,500–7,000 years ago and many people describe it as a mix between yoga and massage. It uses stretching and slow, rhythmic compression along the body’s energy lines, known as sens, this lengthens muscles and increases flexibility. The calming effect of Thai Massage can bring your body into a trance type experience.

How long is my Thai Massage treatment?
Your treatment session includes a pre-massage consultation with Tara. A full Thai massage session may last 90 minutes to 2 hours and includes rhythmic pressing and stretching of the entire body. This may include fingers, toes, walking on the recipient’s back, and moving the recipient’s body into many different positions.
How soon will I see results?
Tangible results are usually seen early in treatment. Some people experience incredible pain relief and improved quality of life after only one treatment, but commonly it is reported that after three or four treatments, clients are enjoying decreased physical pain and restriction, substantial reductions in stress symptoms and overall improved function. Many factors are at play when determining how quickly you will see results – including the severity of your injury or condition, your overall health upon beginning treatment, unforeseen life events that may come along to either aid, detract or change your course once we begin treatment and compliance with the self-care programs that are suggested to you along the way.
